Product Development Technician

Description

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the adaptation of European products for the North American market;
  • Support integration into our Longueuil factory;
  • Work closely with the Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering and Marketing teams;
  • Assemble testing, certification, and sales samples;
  • Validate assembly steps (pre-pilot and pilot activities);
  • Create items and BOMs in our ERP system;
  • Plan and program product configurators in our ERP system;
  • Prepare technical drawings of parts and assemblies;
  • Support product certification, both in terms of safety and the environment;
  • All other related tasks.

Education + Experience Required

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related program;
  • 1-2 years of experience in the lighting industry (or related industry) will be considered an asset.

Qualifications + Skills Required

  • A mastery of SolidWorks;
  • Be a good team worker and be open to changes;
  • Possess excellent organizational skills;
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks in parallel;
  • Be rigorous and have attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate a sense of initiative and autonomy;
  • Enjoy working independently and in a team;
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Thrive in an environment with changing priorities, demands and deadlines with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • A high command of both English and French, written and spoken.
